Vancouver South ((フランス語:Vancouver-Sud)) is a federal electoral district in British Columbia, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1917 to 1997, and since 2004. It covers the southern portion of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. ==Demographics==
The riding has one of the largest immigrant populations in the province, with immigrants and children of immigrants accounting for about 75 per cent of the 118,905 residents. About one-third of the residents are from China or are the children or grandchildren of parents born in China, according to the 2006 census. About 15 per cent are from Pakistan or India. Nearly 30% of residents over the age of 25 years old have obtained a university certificate or degree. The average family income is over $71,000.
